PMStudent Casting Call - New Bloggers Wanted

It was probably in 2005 when I finally figured out what a blog was, and shortly thereafter started up PMStudent. My goal was to throw ideas out there, to help others and also to help clarify my own understanding of the concepts I was learning in school and in my work. The experience has been amazing for my learning process, and will continue to be.

Now, I would like to invite other students and new project managers to do the same. Over the next few months, I will be migrating pmstudent.com to a new platform that will allow for multiple bloggers. I would also like to have a "Veteran Lessons Learned" feature from more experienced project managers who wish to share their knowledge and experiences with students and new project managers around the world.

Not required:

  • You do NOT need to be a professional writer, or have even blogged before
  • You do NOT need to have any experience or academic background in PM, but if that is the case, your posts will mostly be in regards to research, book reviews, or thought experiments (like many of my original posts were)
  • No big commitment....you blog whenever you feel like it, and I'll put it in the queue to be auto-published
  • No particular background...could be PMI, Prince2, RUP, Agile, etc. Or none at all!

Required:

  • A passion for learning and/or teaching about project management or business analysis.
  • Send me an email at joshnankivel@gmail.com with the subject line PMStudent Casting Call and let me know you're interested.

It will likely be October 2008 before the new platform is ready to go. In the meantime, I'll encourage volunteers to write some posts and send them my way so we have a queue built up in the beginning. I'll be asking the team for ideas and suggestions about what the website should become, and we'll build it together.
